Hello,
I've recently bought a new phone and in order to move my ~150 days worth of pictures, I bought the pro version. Now I am trying to backup the database/pictures for almost 5 hours. It does not show me the progress or anything, only writes "database backup in progress..." Is this a bug?
Which phone model?
Old: Huawei P9lite (2017)
New: Samsung Galaxy A52
Which operating system?
Old: Android 8.0.0
New: Android 11
Which Slapse version?
0.4.21
Hello again Thomas, I have yet another question :)
I've backed up the pictures and downloaded them into new phone via the backup&restore feature. However, photos are not visible in the app. I've checked the local files and it seems all photos are named with today's date, instead of the date they've been shot. Is there a way you can suggest to fix this?
Hello and thanks for the quick reply, Thomas.
I have around 3gb of free space in my Google drive. I assume that should be sufficient at least for database backup? I tried many times, but buttons do not seem to work. both of them only show "database/pictures backup in progress" prompt but nothing happens, and there is no notification for picture uploads. I am attaching a screenshot below.
Is it possible to save the backup to a file and restore it from there?
Hey Hasan, thanks for using Slapse. The database backup shouldn't take long. It's only uploading a small file. The pictue backup takes longer and the progress is shown as notification. Please make sure you have a good internet connection and your connected Google Drive has enough storage space. Best, Thomas
